16 November, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. A new version of the law on energy saving may be submitted for consideration by the deputies of the National Assembly in 2012. This was announced today at a joint meeting of the Council of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and the Presidium of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs by the Chairman of the Standing Commission on Industry, Fuel and Energy Complex, Transport, Communications and Entrepreneurship of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Sergey Semashko, BELTA correspondent reports. "The current law has fulfilled its role, modern conditions require a different approach," said the parliamentarian. The main principle that will be implemented in the new draft law provides for incentives for the introduction of energy-saving technologies. The law on energy saving was adopted in Belarus in 1998. Sergey Semashko acquainted the participants of the joint meeting with the activities of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, spoke about the adopted laws and draft laws being prepared for adoption. The chairman of the commission listened to the proposals of the leaders on improving legislation in the field of industry, transport, energy and communications, and on the unification of certain legislative acts with the member states of the single customs space.-0-
