The Ministry of Health has decided to establish a new organisational vertical for assessing the quality of medical care. This was announced to journalists by Vasily Smychek, Director of the State Institution "Republican Scientific and Practical Centre for Medical Expertise and Rehabilitation Gorodishche", as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"Everyone visits polyclinics and receives inpatient treatment. And there are occasional complaints about the system's performance. The Ministry of Health has decided to establish a new organisational vertical for assessing the quality of medical care provided at all levels. Four normative legal acts have been prepared. These are draft regulations of the Ministry of Health and one regulation of the Council of Ministers," said Vasily Smychek.
A department for the expertise of the quality of medical care has been opened at the Republican Scientific and Practical Centre, where control will be exercised at the republican level. At the regional level, it will be provided by the Regional Medical Expert Commissions (MRÉK), and at the district level, it will be provided by each hospital and department.
"Quality criteria for the provision of medical care have been developed – a powerful system aimed at ensuring that citizens receive more accessible and high-quality care within short timeframes for each group of diseases," added Vasily Smychek.
