Irina Polyakova, a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, was unanimously approved for the position of chairperson of the Gorodok District Executive Committee.
The event was attended by the chairperson of the regional executive committee, Alexander Subbotin, and the chairperson of the regional Council of Deputies, Vladimir Terentyev.
The head of the main department for organizational and personnel work of the regional executive committee, Vladimir Davydovsky, noted that Irina Polyakova has a good grasp of the situation in the region, has met with the public personally on numerous occasions, and has contributed to resolving citizens' issues.
– I thank you, esteemed deputies, for the trust placed in me. The tasks have been set. I am confident that with such a cohesive team, we will be able to achieve high results. The head of our state, Alexander Lukashenko, has declared this year the Year of Peace and Creation. We have drawn conclusions from past events and are ready to work to preserve peace in our country, – said Irina Polyakova. – I would like to express my gratitude to Petr Petrovich Korobach. In my capacity as a deputy, I have repeatedly collaborated with the chairperson, so I can say that all citizens' appeals were considered promptly and in the interests of the population. This year is special for the Gorodok district, and we will strive to fully realize our potential in preparation for the anniversary Belarusian Written Language Day.
