Today, the Vitebsk Regional Palace of Children and Youth will host a New Year's celebration for children with psychophysical disabilities. The event is part of the nationwide "Our Children" charity campaign, the institution informed a BELTA correspondent.
Over 90 children with special needs from all districts of the region will come to Vitebsk for the celebration. A New Year's performance featuring fairy-tale characters and creative group performances has been prepared for the boys and girls. On this day, each of the invited children will receive a sweet gift and vivid impressions from the show, along with warm congratulations.
The series of New Year's events in the city will be continued on December 27 by the traditional regional charity celebration at the "Vitebsk" concert hall. It will bring together children aged 8 to 14. These are winners and laureates of various olympiads, creative and sports competitions, active participants, children from large and low-income families, children left without parental care, and orphans.
The "Our Children" New Year's charity campaign started in Belarus on December 9 and will run until January 10. The charity marathon is held under the patronage of Alexander Lukashenko. During the campaign, heads of republican government bodies, local executive and administrative bodies visit children's boarding schools and family-type homes, guardianship and foster families, families raising children with disabilities, correctional development and rehabilitation centres, and hospitals. They congratulate the children on New Year and Christmas, present gifts, and help solve problems. Public associations have joined the charity campaign.-0-
