On September 23, Novopolotsk will become the centre of children's fashion - the first city-wide open children's fashion contest "Kids Couture" will be held here, as reported to BELTA correspondent by the Novopolotsk City Executive Committee. Six creative teams will participate in the project: children's fashion theatres "Top-Top" and "Fest" from Novopolotsk, the fashion theatre of Gymnasium No. 10 from Gomel, the exemplary fashion theatre "Melange" (Dubrovno), the exemplary avant-garde children's fashion theatre "Goldstar" (Orsha), and the children's association-atelier of the "Vetraź" Centre for Additional Education of Children and Youth (Minsk). The total number of pupils representing them will be over 130 children and teenagers aged from 3 to 16 years. In addition, 9 professional designers and 5 young couturiers under 18 years of age will present their collections. Members of the competent jury will have to evaluate 17 collections in the nominations "Master Designer of Children's and Teen Fashion" (professionals), "Children's Creativity" (young designers under 18), "Best Creative Team". In the fourth nomination, the best clothing demonstrators will be identified among girls and boys in the age groups 3-6 years, 7-11 years, 12-16 years. The contest is designed to promote the development of children's creativity, activate children's fashion designers, and also contribute to strengthening the city's prestige.
