The Republican Scientific and Practical Conference "New Concepts in Pancreatic Surgery" with international experts will be held on June 21 at the Vitebsk Regional Institute for the Development of Education, the Vitebsk State Medical University informed BELTA.
At the conference, experts will share their experience and the results of practical activities and scientific research in the field of pancreatic surgery, conducted under the guidance of leading scientists from Germany, Belarus, and Ukraine. Among the most well-known and authoritative speakers is Professor Hans Beger, a German specialist, one of the founders of modern pancreatic surgery, and head of the surgical clinic at Ulm University. He will present reports on the problems of treating chronic pancreatitis and pancreatic tumors.
Employees of the A.A. Shalimov National Institute of Surgery and Organ Transplantation and leading medical institutions of Belarus will also share their experience in the development of surgical pancreatology in Ukraine. "The forum will serve as a platform for establishing information exchange within the scientific community and developing international cooperation," the university noted.
