January 21, Elena Prus - BELTA/. Adjusting coefficients to the tariff rates (salaries) of public sector employees have been introduced in Belarus from January 1 of the current year. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.
The corresponding Ministry's Resolution No. 8 of January 14, 2013, was officially published on January 20 of this year on the National Legal Internet Portal of Belarus. It was developed in execution of the Council of Ministers' Resolution No. 1230 of December 28, 2012, "On establishing the size of the first-category tariff rate for the remuneration of employees of budget organisations and other organisations receiving subsidies, whose employees are equated in remuneration to employees of budget organisations". By this government document, the first-category tariff rate has been increased to Br240 thousand from January 1, 2013, with the aim of further increasing the remuneration level of public sector employees, the purchasing power of their wages, and also partially restoring the differentiation in the remuneration of public sector employees. Simultaneously, with the aim of partially restoring the differentiation in the remuneration of public sector employees, provided for by the Unified Tariff Grid of Employees of the Republic of Belarus (ETS), the range of adjusting coefficients to the tariff rates (salaries) for employees classified in categories 11-21 has been changed from 1.545-1.032 to 1.538-1.010.
Corrective coefficients to the tariff rates (salaries) of employees of state-funded organizations and other organizations receiving subsidies, whose employees are equated in terms of remuneration to employees of state-funded organizations, calculated in accordance with the tariff rate of the first category and the Unified Tariff Scale coefficients established by the Council of Ministers, are set at the following levels: from the 1st to the 2nd category - 3.500; from the 2nd to the 3rd category - 3.066; from the 3rd to the 4th category - 2.660; from the 4th to the 5th category - 2.321; from the 5th to the 6th category - 2.148; from the 6th to the 7th category - 1.988; from the 7th to the 8th category - 1.888; from the 8th to the 9th category - 1.798; from the 9th to the 10th category - 1.708; from the 10th to the 11th category - 1.626; from the 11th to the 12th category - 1.538; from the 12th to the 13th category - 1.456; from the 13th to the 14th category - 1.377; from the 14th to the 15th category - 1.309; from the 15th to the 16th category - 1.248; from the 16th to the 17th category - 1.208; from the 17th to the 18th category - 1.169; from the 18th to the 19th category - 1.129; from the 19th to the 20th category - 1.099; from the 20th to the 21st category - 1.060; from the 21st to the 22nd category - 1.030; from the 22nd to the 23rd category - 1.000; from the 23rd to the 24th category - 1.000; from the 24th to the 25th category - 1.000; from the 25th to the 26th category - 1.000; from the 26th to the 27th category - 1.000; for the 27th category - 1.000.
The Resolution of the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection shall enter into force upon its official publication and shall extend its effect to relations that arose from January 1, 2013.
We remind you that from January 1, 2012, the tariff rate of the first category was increased to Br200 thousand, from May 1 - to Br210 thousand, from September 1 - to Br225 thousand.-0-
