This was stated today by the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus, Yuri Chebotar, during a working trip to Lepel. Together with the head of the economic department, the district centre was visited by the Deputy Chairperson of the Regional Executive Committee, Anzhelika Nikitina, and the Deputy General Director of OJSC "MTZ" for managing the enterprises of the "MTZ-HOLDING" holding, Vladimir Karpyak.

The working group met with the workforce of the Lepel Repair and Mechanical Plant: they familiarised themselves with the production, discussed the development prospects of the enterprise with the employees, and answered their questions.
Yuri Chebotar spoke about new mechanisms for stimulating investment activities aimed at strengthening and developing the industrial potential of the regions.
"The state is consistently creating comfortable conditions for the creation of new and the improvement of the efficiency and competitiveness of existing production facilities. And this is yielding results. Based on the results of 8 months, investments in fixed capital are growing significantly ahead of schedule – 107.1%. Costs for technological renewal are increasing at even higher rates – 113.3%."
The head of the economic department also noted that progressive mechanisms for stimulating investment activities have been in effect since July 1. Their application will accelerate the implementation of investment projects in the regions.
The working group's schedule for today also included a visit to the production site of OOO "TSK".
