The optimization carried out in the education system has made it possible to save funds and direct them to the arrangement of a country health resort camp in the village of Kapishche. "The former school building is located in a pine forest, it has been completely re-equipped, and renovation work is currently being completed. Inside, there are dormitory rooms for 100 people, recreation rooms, a dining room, and a food block. New furniture and bedding have been purchased. Children will even have free Wi-Fi. And a rope park will appear on the adjacent territory by the beginning of the shift. In addition, transportation of children to Gorodok will be organized, where a climbing wall has been equipped at Secondary School No. 2," noted the Gorodok Center for Children and Youth, of which the new facility has become a structural unit.
This year, two specialized shifts will be organized for children aged 6-18: artistic and aesthetic, and sports and tourism, with corresponding additional club activities. "About half of the places are allocated for orphans, children from large families, and foster families. Vouchers are already being actively purchased, we are expecting schoolchildren from all over the region and beyond. For example, 5 children from Moscow will come," added the Center for Children and Youth.
Meanwhile, in the Vitebsk district, there is temporarily one fewer summer health improvement facility. The "Vostok" camp previously belonged to OJSC "VZEP"; this year it was transferred to the "Vitba" confectionery factory, and it is currently closed for renovation.
In total, during the summer holidays, 43,620 boys and girls are planned to be health-improved in the Vitebsk region, including 15,000 in camps with round-the-clock stays for children and 28,620 in day camps. Some of the 650 day camps and 28 stationary camps planned to open have already started operating. In addition, more than 2,000 schoolchildren will improve their health this year in 12 camps opened on the basis of boarding schools, rural schools, and tourist and health complexes.
