The solemn opening ceremony of the new facility was attended by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee Alexander Kosinets, the Chairman of the Vitebsk City Executive Committee Viktor Nikolaikin, representatives of regional and city authorities, the public of the city, as well as parents whose children became pupils of the new building. According to Alexander Kosinets, it has become a good tradition in the Vitebsk region to commission new educational facilities for each academic year. The current year was no exception: the reconstruction of the secondary school building with the construction of an extension in the urban settlement of Orekhovsk, Orsha district, has been completed. The commissioning of a second preschool institution for 230 places became a good gift for the residents of the Bilevo microdistrict. "This facility fully meets modern requirements and the demands of the family and society for quality preschool education," noted the governor, emphasizing that in 2013-2014, it is also planned to build another school for 1.2 thousand students and two kindergartens for 500 places in the Bilevo microdistrict. The head of the region noted that the development of the preschool education system in the region is given the most serious attention. There are 658 preschool institutions operating in the Vitebsk region, including 228 educational and pedagogical complexes "kindergarten-school". They cover more than 47 thousand children. The network of preschool institutions with different areas of activity is developing. Conditions have been created for children with psychophysical development peculiarities to receive education. "The issue of creating the necessary social facilities for the population's life support in new microdistricts remains relevant. We are solving it, finding funds and opportunities so that the new settlers receive timely access to the necessary infrastructure facilities," said the chairman of the regional executive committee. Alexander Kosinets also noted that the Bilevo microdistrict will continue to grow and develop. In the coming years, it is expected to grow by another 40 thousand residents.
