The route runs along the southern border of the forest, where sections of forest alternate with open areas – glades, swamps, and floodplain areas. These are the traditional sites for scientific research and breeding of ungulates. During the photo safari, tourists will have a rare opportunity to see wild animals in their natural habitat. They will be able not only to photograph herds of red deer, roe deer, or fallow deer but also to take selfies with them in the background.
The means of transport for tourists on this tour is equally original. They will reach their destination in a 16-seater cart pulled by a "Belarus" mini-tractor. Under the hood of this versatile model is a 26-horsepower engine, distinguished by its low level of harmful substances in exhaust gases (compliant with Euro-3A standards) and high performance.
The tour is designed for 2-2.5 hours and is accompanied by a guide. The idea for the new ecological route was born from the wishes of the tourists themselves. "People come to Belovezhskaya Pushcha primarily to see nature. Visits to enclosures and the museum are often not enough for many. Therefore, after a sightseeing tour, we will offer them to transfer from the bus to the cart and go on a photo safari. The developed route allows us to guarantee an encounter with wild animals in the wild with almost 100% certainty. We believe the tour will be in demand among tourists," noted Oksana Bogaleisha.
The service is planned to be launched in the coming days. Initially, photo hunting will be organized based on preliminary applications. Subsequently, a clear schedule for conducting the tour is expected to be established.
To celebrate the opening of the new route, the national park is raffling two tickets for the tour among subscribers of the official VKontakte group of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha club. The draw will take place on June 26 at the National Park's Tourism Department.
Currently, a network of car, bicycle, and pedestrian tourist routes and ecological trails has been developed to explore the attractions of the Belovezhskaya Pushcha. These include "Lake Ring", "Animal Crossing", "Forest Secrets", "Northern Trail", "Grand Journey", "Tsar's Glade", "Yazvinskaya Oak Grove", "Pushcha Robinsons", "Voitov Bridge", "Memory", "Reserved Oak Grove", "In Napoleon's Footsteps" - a total of at least fifteen routes.
Since the beginning of the year, over 124 thousand people have visited the national park "Belovezhskaya Pushcha" on excursions.
