"Work on the standard in the field of hairdressing services has already been completed, and it will come into force on April 1," the Head of the Department emphasized.
Valentina Levkovskaya noted that the new standard primarily concerns the qualification of employees. "If an establishment positions itself as a salon, then the qualification of its employees must be higher. In addition, if it is a salon, then additional types of services are provided there. It can be said that a client cannot be refused something there," she explained.
"Furthermore, the standard stipulates that a hairdresser who wishes to provide services only on a mobile basis will now be subject to the same requirements as a hairdressing salon," said the Head of the Department of Consumer Services of the Ministry of Trade.
Valentina Levkovskaya added that the revision of the standard was prompted by the emergence of new technologies and materials, as well as new procedures.
