Renovations began in June. Employees of DRSO-202 removed thresholds for convenient access for wheelchair users and dismantled the old playground. The preschool group will study in a room with new wallpaper, which was donated to the centre by entrepreneur Olga Pashkevich. The floors will also be replaced.
Employees of "Lepelagroservice" fulfilled a long-standing dream by installing a door to the washroom from the service entrance. Now, no one will disturb the children during their activities or rest.
A Minsk-based company provided furniture worth approximately 12 million roubles. A zoning shelving unit has been placed in one of the special classrooms. Another acquisition is sliding ottomans for the children to rest on.
One million roubles from the local budget was allocated for painting. Additionally, under the state programme for the development of special education in the Republic of Belarus for 2012–2016, about 13 million roubles were allocated for play equipment and furniture to provide early comprehensive assistance. Last year, three children under the age of three attended the centre. Now, psychological and pedagogical assistance will be provided to such young children in more comfortable conditions. By the way, not only furniture was considered: children will engage with educational games, recently purchased from a store, at new desks.
