In accordance with Decree No. 483 of November 27, 1995, "On Ensuring Timely Payment of Wages," amounts directed to the repayment of wage arrears, corresponding to 1.5 times the subsistence minimum for the working-age population, adjusted between approvals for the consumer price index, taking into account the coefficients for increasing the tariff rates of workers by technological types of work, production, and economic sectors, are withheld from employers on a non-disputed basis.
Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 974 of October 26 of the current year approved the subsistence minimum for the working-age population in September prices of the current year at Br963 thousand 130 for the period from November 1, 2012, to January 31, 2013. When calculating funds to be transferred out of turn of payments for the repayment of wage arrears, employers must reserve an amount corresponding to 1.5 times the above-mentioned subsistence minimum per employee, i.e., Br1 million 444 thousand 700.
If the employees' remuneration system provides for the application of coefficients for increasing the tariff rates of workers by technological types of work, production, types of economic activity, and economic sectors, when calculating funds for the repayment of wage arrears, employers must reserve an amount per employee, taking into account the specified coefficients.-0-
