The project envisages the creation of facilities for primary fish processing, the organisation of fillet and mince production, as well as semi-finished products. In the subsequent stages, it is planned to establish waste processing to obtain high-quality fishmeal and fish oil. The initial investment volume is estimated at $25 million. The project implementation is expected to create at least 300 jobs.
For the placement of production, investors have chosen a site in sector N1 "Zhurzhevo" on the outskirts of the regional centre, for the engineering development of which over Br22 million has been directed in the last two years. An overhead power line, railway access tracks, and a step-down substation have been erected there. Previously, a fibre-optic communication line and natural gas were laid, and the main water supply network is planned to be commissioned in the first half of 2023.
As a result, favourable conditions for the investment development of this territory have been created. In 2023, in sector N1, FEZ resident LLC "BRR Arshie Eko Zdorovye" will begin the creation of a biodegradable disposable tableware production. In addition, potential investors are exploring opportunities for placing 4 more new productions on this site. This includes the organisation of production of hydraulic cylinders and blanks for them, machining centres, composite reinforcement, as well as the development of medical instrument production.
In total, 58 organisations have been registered as residents of the FEZ "Vitebsk", including 24 foreign and joint ventures with capital from 14 countries. In 2022, 7 new organisations received resident status with a total declared investment volume of $44 million for projects envisaging the creation of over 800 jobs. In January, LLC "Lesdrevkonsalt" was registered with a project for the creation of electric and petrol tools, as well as components, in Polotsk.
The FEZ "Vitebsk" includes 17 sectors located in Vitebsk, Orsha, Polotsk, Postavy, Miory, and Dokshytsy districts, as well as in the regional centre, with a total area of 2416 hectares.
