On November 1, around 1 AM, the rescue service received a report of a fire in a bathhouse in the village of Verebki, Slobodskoye village council.
Upon arrival of the Ministry of Emergency Situations units at the scene, open burning of the bathhouse was observed.
As a result of the fire, the roof and ceiling of the bathhouse were destroyed, and the walls were damaged. There were no casualties.
The cause of the fire is being established. The considered version of the cause of the fire is the violation of the rules for operating stoves, heat-generating units and devices.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges owners of private households with outbuildings on their plots, including bathhouses: do not operate heating appliances in violation of fire safety rules, ensure their repair and timely cleaning of chimneys from combustion products to protect yourselves and your property.
For failure to comply with fire safety rules, citizens may be brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Article 23.56 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Republic of Belarus, which entails a warning or a fine of up to thirty basic units.
