Last Saturday proved to be a productive day for our hometown, with citizens using various tools not in their garden plots, but in public recreation areas. A community clean-up day is an excellent opportunity for every resident of Lepel to make a feasible contribution to tidiness, especially in the Year of Small Motherland.
Special attention was paid to the park and other recreation areas for Lepel residents and city guests. As soon as the sun starts to warm up, mothers with children and young people head to the playgrounds where they can entertain their little ones and socialise with friends and acquaintances.
Representatives of the local authorities, the district council of deputies, and employees of various departments of the district executive committee demonstrated through their own example that cleanliness and comfort depend on us.
Holding community clean-up days is one of the long-standing good traditions. And first and foremost, it fosters team spirit, which was immediately noticeable. During joint work, the corporate spirit of employees is boosted, and the psychological climate within the team improves. Furthermore, a personal contribution to tidiness guarantees that a person will not want to litter where they have cleaned.
It is very pleasing that elderly people, who are already long retired, did not remain on the sidelines of this common cause. Many tidied up around their homes and garden plots, as if supporting the working category of Lepel residents. The wonderful spring weather with the long-awaited warm sun also contributed to the good mood.
The work on this day confirmed that our district is home to people who care about their region and strive to make their hometown even more beautiful.
