At the Lepel District Executive Committee, the reception is currently being conducted by Aleynik Sergey Fedorovich, Chairman of the Standing Commission of the Council of the Republic for International Affairs and National Security.
Also present at the citizens' reception is Irina Obolevich, a member of the Youth Parliament under the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.
Representatives of the local authorities are also involved in resolving the issues of Lepel residents – the head of the district, Mikhail Kiselevich, and responsible specialists in various areas.
Currently, the list of issues raised by fellow countrymen includes land matters and the provision of water supply.
The parliamentarian emphasised that such visits to the regions are very beneficial.
Firstly, during visits, senators provide assistance and support to citizens in resolving pressing life issues, especially when they concern the republican level. Secondly, it serves as a certain indicator of how promptly problematic issues are resolved locally.
As Sergey Fedorovich noted, there is a positive trend: the number of appeals is decreasing, which means that most issues are promptly resolved and clarified by local authorities and competent services.
