During a meeting with Ahmet Sıkırt, Mayor of Çorlu, issues of enhancing interregional cooperation, primarily in the trade and economic sphere, were discussed. The Turkish side proposed establishing sister city relations with one of the Belarusian cities.
At a meeting with İzzet Volkan, Chairman of the Board of the Çorlu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Turkish side was informed about the potential of Belarus's light industry. An exchange of views on possible areas of cooperation took place. For instance, issues concerning the substantive content of the planned trip to Turkey by a delegation from the Bellegprom concern in 2021 were touched upon. An agreement was reached to resume contacts between the Çorlu CCI and the Minsk branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During negotiations with the management of the Organized Leather Processing Industrial Zone, the parties explored opportunities for technological cooperation and the establishment of leather processing cooperation chains.
