Vladimir Terentiev, Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, attended the opening ceremonies on Knowledge Day at educational institutions in Gorodok District.
— September 1st is a significant date for me as a graduate of a pedagogical university. The start of the educational process is akin to a New Year's mystery, when past failures are reset and the potential for future successes is laid, — said Vladimir Terentiev. — Moreover, I eagerly await this holiday as a parent, preparing to share in my child's new achievements and overcome the difficulties associated with the educational process.
For Vladimir Vladimirovich, visiting schools in Gorodok District on Knowledge Day is a cherished tradition. Residents of the district have consistently elected him as their representative to the Regional Council of Deputies in recent electoral campaigns.
— The region has become dear to me. I try to visit as often as possible and provide all possible support to the local authorities, — he assured. — It is gratifying that the number of first-graders is growing year by year. If in 2019, 208 children started school for the first time, then this year it is 221. This gives confidence in the future of the district.
Together with representatives of the Regional Executive Committee and the District Executive Committee, Vladimir Terentiev congratulated students of educational institutions in the district center, the agro-town of Palminka, and the urban settlement of Yezherishche on the start of the academic year.
— For you, children, this is an emotionally challenging holiday. Especially for the youngest ones, who may not yet fully grasp what has changed in their lives and why their parents are so concerned about them. It is also not easy for eleventh-graders, who will soon have to decide on their future profession, — said Vladimir Vladimirovich. — My deepest respect goes to the educators who dedicate all their soul and strength to maximize the potential of schoolchildren and instill in them not only profound knowledge but also a love for learning.
Certificates for the improvement of the material and technical base were presented to each of the schools.
— I am grateful to the regional authorities for their support in the systematic development of the socio-economic life of the district, including the sphere of education. This year, 500,000 rubles have been allocated to us for the repair and modernization of schools and kindergartens. These funds have been a great help in updating the appearance and equipment of the institutions, and in purchasing sports equipment, — clarified the head of the district, Petr Korobach. — I hope that our efforts and the efforts of the teaching staff have not been in vain.
