Today, they already wear officer shoulder straps. The first military rank of "lieutenant" was awarded to the graduates upon completion of their studies. The officers will serve in various units of the detachment. Specialists in border protection, border control, engineering, IT, logistics, and automotive support – all of them will undergo their professional development at border outposts, border control points, and within the border guard detachment's administration.

Each lieutenant will be assigned a mentor officer.

Incidentally, a new unit of society and a border family have been formed within the border guard detachment. This year's graduate, Lieutenant Evgenia Ryzhankova, has tied the knot with Lieutenant Tadeush Parnevsky, a graduate of 2019. They met while studying at the Institute of the Border Service, and now they will serve together in the Braslav district. The head of the Parnevsky family has been serving for a year at the "Urbany" border outpost as the deputy head for ideological work, and his spouse will serve as the deputy shift chief of the "Urbany" border control point.

The command of the Polotsk Border Guard Detachment wishes the young officers an easy service and rapid professional development in their positions.
