During the first stage of the republican campaign "Safe New Year!", propaganda inspector Tatyana Fedorovich, together with Valentin Lovets, Head of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations (ROCHS), visited the "Svetlitsa" round-the-clock stay department of the Lepel district.
In their presentation, the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) employees informed the attendees about the launched "Safe New Year!" campaign and presented statistics on fires and related fatalities in the Lepel district. Special attention was paid to observing fire safety measures during the Christmas and New Year holidays, the use of pyrotechnic devices, responsible handling of electrical equipment, and rules for setting up a Christmas tree. They also reminded attendees of the rules for using primary fire extinguishing means. The MES employees warned those present about the dangers of venturing onto thin, unhardened ice, citing examples of people who had died this year. After watching educational videos titled "Pyrotechnics," "Rules of Conduct on Ice," and "Safe New Year!", the residents of the department enthusiastically participated in the "New Year's Song Parodies" contest. They also collectively reviewed the procedure for actions in case of fire and the rules for calling rescuers. Active participants in the event were presented with informational leaflets. At the end of the meeting, the staff of the State Institution "Territorial Center for Social Services of the Lepel District" performed creative numbers, and the MES employees wished everyone good health and adherence to safety rules.
