As part of the republican campaign "Safety Day. Attention Everyone!", Lepel rescuers are conducting events and practical drills on actions in case of a fire in educational institutions of the city and district.
At the meeting, representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) touched upon the issue of natural and man-made emergencies, told the children how to act upon the signal "Attention Everyone!", and recalled the algorithm of behavior in case of a fire in crowded places.
MES employees, together with the children, derived a safety formula, considered the main causes of fires and emergencies in an unusual and interesting format, and reviewed the rules of behavior on ice. Young "safety geniuses" found a way out of unusual circumstances and also easily coped with other tasks from MES employees.
Within the framework of the event, it was possible to discuss the benefits of an autonomous fire detector and recall the emergency service numbers. The children thought about which everyday items could be useful for extinguishing a fire, and also discussed their dangers.
The mobile application "MES of Belarus: Help is Nearby!" aroused particular interest among the students, which every student wanted to install on their mobile device.
At the end of the event, the children received visual educational materials as gifts, which will remind them about safety, and also consolidated all the acquired knowledge in practice by working out evacuation procedures from the educational institution.
The MES urges: dear parents! Take care of your children – try to organize their leisure time, especially during the holidays. Teach them the rules of safe behavior, find a few minutes to learn emergency service numbers with them, tell them about the basic rules of behavior on the street and at home, and remind them of the dangers of playing with matches. And most importantly – under no circumstances leave children unattended!
