At approximately 6 a.m. on August 12, the rescue service received a report of a vehicle fire on Depovskaya Street in Lepel.
When rescuers arrived at the scene, open flames were observed emanating from under the bonnet and into the cabin of the truck.
There were no casualties.
As a result of the fire, the cabin and engine compartment of a GAZ 3309 vehicle, manufactured in 2005, were partially destroyed.
An investigation is underway regarding this incident. The cause of the fire is being determined. A short circuit in the vehicle's electrical wiring is being considered as a possible cause.
