Fire has been and remains a terrible disaster. Loss of life, injuries, and burns are the consequences of the elemental force of fire. Often, all of this is the result of violating fire safety rules in everyday life, and sometimes in work activities.

It is worth noting that fire safety in everyday life is not a waste of time. After all, by neglecting simple fire safety rules, one can not only be left homeless, lose acquired property, but also cause significant harm to health, and create a threat to one's own life and the lives of others. In most cases, fire is a consequence of carelessness and negligence in observing fire safety rules. The main causes of fires in homes are primarily careless handling of fire, including during smoking, faulty electrical equipment, and violation of safety rules when operating electric heating appliances and stoves.

During the heating season, fires often occur due to improper use of stove heating. Citizens often dry firewood near stoves, lumber, and clothes, and also place flammable materials nearby, which is strictly prohibited.

It is also forbidden to use flammable materials and liquids (gasoline, kerosene, etc.) for lighting stoves, and to throw unextinguished coals and ash near buildings. Stoves, in turn, must be in good working order and equipped in compliance with all safety requirements. Stoves in operation must not be left unattended, and supervision of them must not be entrusted to children.

Parents are advised to write down the fire and rescue service number in a notebook or directory for their children, as well as their full home address. Before leaving home for an extended period, ensure that all water heaters and lighting devices are turned off. Do not use electrical appliances if they are faulty.

Remember that adherence to elementary fire safety measures and rules is the key to your well-being, health, and the preservation of your life.
