In June 2021, inspectors from the Supervision and Prevention Department of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations conducted monitoring visits to Sole Proprietorship "Solomakha" at 75 Chuykov Street, Lepel, and CJSC "Vaskovich and K" at 124A Voykova Street, Lepel.
During the monitoring of the "Santa" shop at 122A Voykova Street, Lepel, violations of the "General Fire Safety Requirements for the Maintenance and Operation of Capital Structures (Buildings, Structures), Isolated Premises and Other Facilities Owned by Business Entities," approved by Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 7 of 23.11.2017, were identified. Specifically: not all evacuation routes ensured the possibility of free opening of locks (latches) on external evacuation doors from the inside without a key; employee training on fire technical minimum programs was not organised; doors leading to stairwells were not equipped with self-closing devices.
The monitoring of CJSC "Vaskovich and K" at 124A Voykova Street, Lepel, revealed violations of fire safety rules at the facility, namely: not all evacuation routes ensured the possibility of free opening of locks (latches) on external evacuation doors from the inside without a key; employee training on fire technical minimum programs was not organised; the facility-wide fire safety instructions did not comply with the Ministry of Emergency Situations Resolution of 28.04.2018 No. 28 "On establishing requirements for the content of facility-wide fire safety instructions."
Following the monitoring, recommendations for rectifying the violations were issued to the management.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that in accordance with Article 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus "On Fire Safety," heads of organisations are responsible for ensuring fire safety and the fire safety regime within their respective organisations.
