The Lepel District Prosecutor's Office continuously supervises compliance with legislation on property security and veterinary activities in the district's agro-industrial complex organisations.

Based on the results of inspections conducted in July 2023, it was found that in OJSC "Lepelagroservice", SPF "Zaоzerie" of OJSC "Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant", and KUPKhSP "Lepel" a significant portion of agricultural machinery, including that intended for harvesting, was not prepared for the harvesting campaign and had not passed state technical inspection.

During supervisory activities, it was established that officials of SPF "Zaоzerie" of OJSC "Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant" and KUPSKhP "Lepel" allow drivers to operate vehicles without being tested for alcohol intoxication, and agricultural machinery is released for work without obtaining permission to participate in road traffic.

Furthermore, during inspection activities in SUP "Prozhektor-agro" and SPF "Zaоzerie" of OJSC "Vitebsk Meat Packing Plant", violations of legislation on property security and veterinary and sanitary activities were identified. In the aforementioned farms, an increase in livestock mortality was noted over 6 months of 2023. Officials commit violations of technological requirements for feeding cattle under 3 months of age, which contributes to an increase in mortality. Additionally, instances of keeping cattle in inadequate conditions are permitted on the farms.

Based on the results of the inspection activities, the Prosecutor of Lepel District submitted 2 representations to the Agriculture and Food Department of the Lepel District Executive Committee and the Lepel District Executive Committee to eliminate violations, as well as the causes and conditions contributing to them. Following the consideration of these representations, 3 employees of agricultural enterprises were subjected to disciplinary action.
