The Lepel District Centre for Hygiene and Epidemiology reports that due to the identification of risks of deterioration of the sanitary and epidemiological situation, posing a potential danger to the life and health of the population, associated with the circulation of de-icing fluids, by the Resolution of the Deputy Minister - Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Tarasenko dated January 5, 2022 No. 1 "On the introduction of a temporary sanitary measure in relation to de-icing fluids packaged in consumer packaging for retail sale, containing methanol in a concentration of more than 0.05% by volume", the import and circulation within the territory of the Republic of Belarus of de-icing fluids (EAEU TN VED code 3820 00 000 0), packaged in consumer packaging for retail sale, containing methanol in a concentration of more than 0.05% by volume is prohibited.
Importers (suppliers) of de-icing fluids must ensure that the above-mentioned products are not put into circulation.
The State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of the Republic of Belarus, the State Committee for Standardization of the Republic of Belarus, regional and Minsk city executive committees, and other organizations exercising control (supervision) over the circulation of products must take the necessary measures to prevent the circulation of the above-mentioned products, including informing all interested parties; in case of detection of facts of circulation of these products within the territory of the Republic of Belarus, their sale shall be suspended in the manner prescribed by law.
The sanitary and epidemiological service, in case of detection of facts of sale of these products, will suspend their sale in the manner prescribed by law.
