On December 5, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. INVet OJSC (Bigosovo, Verkhnedvinsk district) has produced pilot samples of import-substituting products – polyethylene corrugated pipes of various diameters, the company's General Director Sergey Gromadko informed a BELTA correspondent.
Corrugated pipes can be used for the installation of closed horizontal drainage in land reclamation and irrigation, including agricultural land, with a laying depth of up to 5 m, and for dewatering construction sites in industrial and civil construction projects. They can also be used for the protection of various underground communication cables. In Belarus, only two enterprises produce these products, but the existing capacities are insufficient, and organisations purchase corrugated pipes from abroad. With the mastering of production at INVet OJSC, import needs will be eliminated, and the enterprise will be able to export new products, Sergey Gromadko is confident.
Import equipment with a capacity of 350 km of pipes per month has been purchased for pipe production. The products will be manufactured by extrusion. Thus, along with injection moulding and rotational moulding, INVet will master another technology for manufacturing polymer products.
The growth rate of the enterprise's production volumes in January-November of the current year, at comparable prices, compared to the same period last year, was 180%. The export growth rate, according to operational data, is 113%. The main buyers of INVet OJSC are located in the Russian Federation, with small supplies of products to Kazakhstan and Latvia. Sales profitability in January-November was 8%, and realisation profitability was 10.6%. Net profit for January-October reached Br3.3 billion. Since the beginning of the year, Br10.7 billion has been directed towards modernisation and technological re-equipment.
“Invеt” OJSC is a town-forming enterprise located in a small town. Its history dates back to 1959. In 1993, it was transformed into an open joint-stock company. Currently, the state’s share is 46.9% of the shares, Belarusbank owns 10%, and the remaining shares are held by private individuals. The enterprise produces technical means for road traffic management: road barrier blocks, guide posts complete with rectangular stands, traffic cones, products for vertical landscaping of streets, components for mechanical engineering, and consumer goods – a total of about 400 product names. The enterprise operates a quality management system STB ISO 9001. "Invеt" is a laureate of the "Best Goods of the Republic of Belarus in the Market of the Russian Federation" award in 2011.
