On December 26, Vitebsk /Olga Bogacheva - BELTA/. Open Joint Stock Company "Polotsk Plant "Prommashremont" plans to double the output of mobile grain dryers in 2012, the enterprise informed BELTA correspondent. The first mobile grain dryer GDT, designed for drying cereals, rapeseed, corn and leguminous crops, was assembled at the enterprise at the end of 2010, using almost entirely German components. During 2011, 10 units of this equipment were produced for agricultural enterprises of Belarus, and one more will come off the assembly line before the end of the year. Throughout this period, the share of domestic components was gradually increased, and currently stands at about 40%. In 2012, the localization level of grain dryer production is planned to be increased to 60%, and their output - doubled. The enterprise's specialists have no doubt about the demand for this product, as mobile grain drying complexes have a number of advantages compared to stationary ones. They are simple to operate, do not require design and estimate documentation or foundation installation, and allow for reduced costs of road transport and increased crop harvesting rates. In January-November, the plant produced products worth Br11.1 billion, or 143.1% compared to the same period last year. Sales profitability was 5.5%. Products were exported to Russia, Venezuela, and Azerbaijan. The share of innovative products in the total volume shipped was 42.9%. The development of new product types was facilitated by significant investments in fixed assets: this year, over Br1 billion was invested in the technical re-equipment of the enterprise's production processes, and about Br2 billion is planned to be allocated in 2012. Polotsk Plant "Prommashremont" was founded in 1947 and became a joint-stock company in 1997. It specialises in vehicle repair, production of spare parts, agricultural and fan heater equipment.
