On December 11, Minsk / Liliya Krapivina - BELTA /. OJSC "Vitebskiye Kovry" plans to implement an innovative project in 2013-2015 to introduce a new technology for the production of jacquard carpets. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the concern "Bellegprom". The volume of financing for the project in 2013 from the innovation fund is Br7.9 billion, and Br1.9 billion will be required from the organization's own funds. The project involves the introduction of technology and the mastering of the production of double-width jacquard carpets and super-shaggy carpets with a pile height of up to 70 mm. Such products are not yet produced in Belarus, the concern clarified. OJSC will acquire equipment and implement technologies to master a new competitive range of woven carpets made of polypropylene yarns with cut pile. The economic effect of this project is expected to be Br600 million per year. The export of new carpets is projected at 56.3% of production volumes. The added value at the enterprise in 2015 will reach $23.5 thousand. This exceeds the similar indicator for the textile and garment industry of the republic as a whole, where it is planned at the level of at least $21 thousand, the concern said.
