On the organisation of personal reception of citizens in the prosecutor's offices of the region

The regional prosecutor's offices consistently focus on organising work with citizens and creating appropriate conditions for addressing pressing issues. Annually, over 6,000 individuals approach prosecutor's office employees during personal consultations. Mobile consultations with citizens are regularly conducted at their places of residence and work.

To further improve engagement with the public, certain changes to the organisation of personal consultations will be introduced in the regional prosecutor's offices from 1 January 2020.

Thus, the Regional Prosecutor, as before, will conduct personal consultations with citizens by prior appointment regarding supervisory complaints against court decisions and complaints against decisions made by their deputies. These consultations will take place on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 8:00 to 13:00, and on the 3rd Tuesday of the month from 14:00 to 20:00.

In the temporary absence of the Regional Prosecutor on the day of a personal consultation, the person performing their duties will conduct the consultation.

Preliminary appointments are taken from 9:00 to 18:00 (lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00) by calling: 37-21-52, 37-45-16, and cease 3 working days prior to the scheduled consultation date.

Furthermore, the deputies of the Regional Prosecutor will continue to conduct personal consultations with citizens regarding complaints against decisions made by heads of departments, senior assistants to the Regional Prosecutor, prosecutors of cities and districts, and the Vitebsk Transport Prosecutor.

The First Deputy Regional Prosecutor conducts consultations:

1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month – from 8:00 to 13:00,
2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month – from 14:00 to 20:00.
The deputies of the Regional Prosecutor conduct consultations:
1st and 3rd Monday of the month – from 8:00 to 13:00,
2nd and 4th Monday of the month – from 14:00 to 20:00.
1st and 3rd Thursday of the month – from 8:00 to 13:00,
2nd and 4th Thursday of the month – from 14:00 to 20:00.

When seeking consultations with the deputies of the Regional Prosecutor on consultation days after 18:00, please arrange this in advance by calling the aforementioned telephone numbers.

Furthermore, at the regional prosecutor's office, on weekdays from 8:00 to 18:00 (with a lunch break from 13:00 to 14:00), prosecutors conduct personal reception of citizens (the reception schedule is approved monthly by the regional prosecutor). You can also book an appointment with prosecutors outside working hours, from 18:00 to 20:00, using the telephone numbers provided above. On weekends and public holidays, personal reception by prosecutors at the regional prosecutor's office is conducted from 9:00 to 14:00 without a lunch break.

Prosecutors of cities and districts of the region, and the Vitebsk transport prosecutor, conduct personal reception of citizens on Wednesdays (1st, 3rd, 5th Wednesday of the month - from 08:00 to 13:00; 2nd, 4th Wednesday of the month - from 14:00 to 20:00).

Deputy prosecutors of cities and districts, and the Vitebsk transport prosecutor, conduct personal reception of citizens on Mondays (1st, 3rd, 5th Monday of the month - from 08:00 to 13:00; 2nd, 4th Monday of the month - from 14:00 to 20:00).

In the prosecutor's offices of Polotsk, Orsha districts, and the city of Vitebsk, where, according to the staffing table, there are two or three deputy prosecutors, reception by deputies is carried out on Tuesdays (1st, 3rd, 5th Tuesday of the month - from 08:00 to 13:00; 2nd, 4th Tuesday of the month - from 14:00 to 20:00) and Thursdays (1st, 3rd, 5th Thursday of the month - from 08:00 to 13:00; 2nd, 4th Thursday of the month - from 14:00 to 20:00).

Other prosecutors of cities and districts, and the Vitebsk transport prosecutor's office, conduct citizen reception according to schedules approved by the respective prosecutors.

It should be noted that after 18:00, on weekends and public holidays, personal reception at the prosecutor's offices of cities and districts of the region, and the Vitebsk transport prosecutor's office, is carried out by prior appointment (contact telephone numbers can be obtained directly from the respective prosecutor's office).
