In order to implement the measures of the State Programme "Ecology" for 2026–2030, approved by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of 30 December 2025 No. 791, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection invites all residents of the Republic of Belarus to join the environmental campaign – "Earth Hour 2026".
The campaign will take place on the last Saturday of March. Its main goal is to foster an environmental culture, cultivate a caring attitude towards nature, and draw attention to the problems of climate change.
On 28 March, for the eighteenth time, we will join the global "Earth Hour" campaign, during which millions of people worldwide will switch off their lights for an hour to reflect on the future of the planet.
To do this, it is sufficient to switch off lighting and other non-essential electrical appliances (excluding elevators) for one hour – from 20:30 to 21:30 – as a sign of support for a responsible attitude towards nature.
This hour is a symbol of our shared responsibility: to care for the environment for the well-being of present and future generations.
