Children and adolescents are targets of fraudulent attacks

Young internet users are increasingly falling victim to fraudulent schemes. Their naivety, curiosity, and often insufficient awareness of cybersecurity issues make them particularly attractive to malicious actors.

Scammers actively use social networks, online games, and messengers to establish contact with children and teenagers. They disguise themselves as peers, offering friendship, promising winnings in contests, or suggesting "easy" earnings.

The goal is always the same – to extract personal data, gain access to accounts, or induce money transfers.

One of the most common schemes is phishing – sending fake messages on behalf of well-known brands or organizations, requesting confidential information, such as bank card details or account passwords.

Children, not always understanding the danger, can easily fall for this trick.

Another danger is online games, where scammers often offer to buy virtual items or in-game currency at a reduced price.
