Responsibilities of pedestrians

  To ensure their own safety on the road, as well as when crossing the roadway, pedestrians must know and strictly observe their duties, as enshrined in the Traffic Regulations.

  Thus, a pedestrian is obliged to:

  move along the pavement, pedestrian path, and in their absence – along the cycle path, or the roadside;

  cross the roadway by pedestrian crossings, and in their absence within sight – at an intersection along the line of pavements or roadsides;

  when using personal mobility devices, move along the cycle path, and in its absence – along the pavement, pedestrian path or roadside, without creating obstacles for the movement of other pedestrians;

  upon the demand of a traffic police officer, undergo examination in the prescribed manner to determine the state of alcoholic intoxication.

  Please note that for violating their duties, a pedestrian may be brought to administrative responsibility.
