The main goal of the two-day event is to strengthen the interaction between state management bodies and educational institutions in ensuring the systematic training of highly qualified personnel for the agricultural sector of the economy by popularizing agricultural professions and achievements of the agro-industrial complex of the Vitebsk region and Belarus.
One of the central events of the first day of the forum was the exhibition of agrarian classes, secondary vocational and higher education institutions "Agro-Professions Exchange", which was evaluated by the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Linevich. Speakers at the dialogue platform "Agro-Industrial Complex of the Vitebsk Region: Innovations and Prospects" included the Chairman of the Liozno District Executive Committee Ivan Fyodorov, the Rector of the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine Nikolay Gavrichenko, the Deputy General Director for Industrial and Agricultural Production of UP "Vitebskoblgaz" Konstantin Pochepko, and the Deputy General Director for Agriculture of OJSC "Vitebsk Broiler Poultry Farm" Nadezhda Gribanova.
Schoolchildren also took a tour of the veterinary academy and organized a flash mob "This is Our Choice!". A case session was organized for teachers of agrarian classes to exchange experience.
Tomorrow, the students will visit enterprises and organizations in the regional center and the Vitebsk district, where they will learn about the latest production technologies and innovative approaches in agricultural development.
Currently, there are 185 agrarian classes operating in the schools of the Vitebsk region, with 1585 students.
