The regional review and competition of creativity of disabled people "Look at me as an equal" will gather 35 participants from all districts of the region in Vitebsk today, BELTA was informed at the Vitebsk Regional Methodical Centre of Folk Art.
The event will take place at the Regional Philharmonic. Individual performers, creative groups and amateur associations of territorial centres for social services of the population of the region, psychoneurological boarding schools for the elderly and disabled, and boarding schools for children with psychophysical development peculiarities will compete for victory. Participants will perform in the nominations "Vocal and Choreographic Singing", "Choreographic Art" and "Theatrical Art". The best of the best will be awarded the Grand Prix. The jury has also provided special prizes "For Creative Debut", "For Originality of Performance" and "Audience Choice Award".
The organisers of the event are the Department of Culture and the Committee for Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, regional structures of the Belarusian Red Cross Society and the Belarusian Peace Foundation.
