In Belarus, weekly direct lines are organised by regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee to enhance the effectiveness of work with citizens' and legal entities' appeals, eradicate bureaucracy and red tape, paper-shuffling, and to promptly resolve problematic issues arising for people. Such direct lines were launched in January 2015 and are held on Saturdays.
