According to the head of the regional healthcare department, the pre-project documentation for the facility has already been completed, and the funding source is currently being determined. "The reconstruction of the Vitebsk Regional Clinical Hospital is being carried out by order of the Head of State. The first phase involves the construction of a new building, which will be attached to the hospital. It will house the operating theatres and intensive care units. All operating theatres will move to the new building so that we do not disrupt the hospital's operations, as it is the main healthcare institution in the region. It has many specialised departments that are not available in other institutions. Therefore, we are starting with the construction of the new building. We are determining the funding source, as the resources required are substantial. We are currently working on the design documentation for the first building, and we plan to commence construction and installation work next year," explained the head of the regional healthcare department.
Currently, the hospital operates 27 departments. It provides specialised planned and emergency medical care to residents of the northern region. Over 50,000 people receive care in the admission department annually, and more than 35,000 patients are treated in the inpatient department.
