As reported by Belarusbank, on September 14, the public's activity in selling foreign currency was four times higher than the demand for purchasing it. The situation developed similarly today. "Despite this, there were no problems with the availability of Belarusian rubles at exchange points yesterday or today: if necessary, replenishment with national currency is carried out in a timely manner," emphasized the bank's representative. Similar information was confirmed by BPS-Bank, Belagroprombank, and other banks in the city. To verify this personally, a BELTA correspondent visited the currency exchange offices of five different banking institutions. The desire of an individual to part with $1,000 caused no difficulties. "Whether it's a thousand or two. Sell as much as you need," was the surprised reaction at BPS-Bank to the expressed concern on this matter. Belarusbank's branch on Frunze Avenue promptly provided Belarusian rubles. "The money has been delivered. Join the queue," they said here. The only cash settlement and cash service centre that could not exchange even $10 for Belarusian rubles on the BELTA correspondent's route was a small cash settlement and cash service centre of Belagroprombank on Gogol Street.
