The first domestic ambulance car equipped for high-tech assistance of level 2-3 has been dispatched to Sharkovshchina District today, as reported to BELTA correspondent by Yuri Derkach, Head of the Healthcare Department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee. The vehicle is equipped with modern medical equipment that allows for assistance at the level of a resuscitation unit of a district or regional hospital and for transporting seriously ill patients over long distances. In total, medical professionals will receive 88 similar vehicles this year. One vehicle each will be sent to district centers, Polotsk and Novopolotsk will receive 10 vehicles each, another 16 ambulances will go to Orsha, and the rest will remain in Vitebsk. Currently, there are 5 vehicles of this class in the entire region. The need to increase the number of resuscitation ambulances is driven by the implementation of the provisions of the National Program for Demographic Security and the regional program developed on its basis, which include strengthening the material and technical base of emergency medical services. Funds for the purchase of vehicles will be allocated from the regional and district budgets. The production of modern ambulance cars has been established by a resident of FEZ "Vitebsk", the Belarusian-Russian joint limited liability company "Grandiskar". -0-
