The defence capability of the country depends not only on the Armed Forces but also on every Belarusian in particular!

This opinion was voiced by Veronika Khombak, Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee, during a meeting with the staff of the Lepel Regional Psychiatric Hospital.

The conversation with fellow countrymen took place within the framework of the Unified Information Day for Citizens. The main topic was "The Defensive Power of the Belarusian Army and Patriotism in Modern Conditions."

Elena Borodeiko, Head of the Culture Sector of the District Executive Committee, and Pavel Zhernousek, Senior Inspector of the Supervision and Prevention Sector of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations, also participated in the meeting.

Highlighting the main theme of the information day, Veronika Khombak noted that defending the Motherland in Belarus is a matter for the entire nation.

Pavel Zhernousek raised topics relevant to Belarusian rescuers in his speech.

He cited the increase in the number of fires caused by careless smoking, improper use of stove heating, and faulty electrical wiring as one of the alarming phenomena.
