According to the calendar plan for the preparation and conduct of elections of deputies to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the fifth convocation, the formation of polling stations in Belarus will be completed on 21 July, reports BELTA correspondent.
Polling stations are formed by district, and in regional centers by city executive committees, local administrations in agreement with the respective district election commissions. Heads of diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Belarus establish polling stations abroad. Information about them will be sent by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to the Central Election Commission no later than 23 July.
The number of voters at polling stations can range from 20 to 3,000 people.
Polling station election commissions must be formed no later than 45 days before the elections, i.e., they will be formed up to and including 8 August. They can consist of 5-19 people.
The nomination of candidates for polling station commissions must be completed by 5 August inclusive. Political parties, other public associations, work collectives, as well as citizens of Belarus by submitting an application have the right to propose their representatives.
Elections of deputies to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the fifth convocation will be held on 23 September.-0-
