"Be careful in selecting people, your team for the power structures you will have to manage. There is no need to hunt for witches, no need to see enemies in everyone. Many have been misguided. In the near future, we will publish a large-scale sociological study. We surveyed various work collectives, and people answered many questions anonymously. Society, according to my initial information, has changed significantly since last year," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
The Head of State noted that many Belarusians have seen what the people striving for power were really worth and what their plans were. "Every day gives you and many others reason to say that we would have made a huge mistake if we had suffered defeat last year. The country simply would not have existed," the President pointed out.
At the same time, Alexander Lukashenko stressed, there should be no traitors in power. He is confident that ordinary Belarusians are unlikely to be able to answer the question of what the opposition wants. "But we said, remember: breaking ties with Russia, inviting NATO here, reformatting the church, banning the Russian language, and so on. They are hiding it now: it is not profitable for them. As the sociological studies we have now received show, people support the course we are pursuing today," the Belarusian leader stated.
