A training seminar on the topic "Requirements and application of the provisions of Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus of March 11, 2004 No. 1 on measures to strengthen public safety and discipline" was held for employees at the "Lepel MKC" branch of OJSC "Vitebsk Meat Processing Plant".
The main speaker was Sergey Chernobabin, Head of the Vitebsk Region Department of the Center for Labor Protection and Industrial Safety of RIVSH.
In his speech, Sergey Nikolaevich noted that Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 1 is aimed at strengthening public safety and discipline and is one of the most important regulatory legal acts. The key requirement of the document is aimed at preventing deaths, injuries and maiming in the production process.
- Plan, quality, and deadlines are the three main components that you always pay attention to in production. But there is another important aspect in your work – ensuring that employees work in safe and comfortable conditions, and leave the enterprise premises healthy at the end of their shift, -- the speaker noted.
During the dialogue, it was emphasized that a new version of the Directive of the President of the Republic has been in effect since 2015, where a number of obligations of employees and employers have been specified and formulated in a new way. Thus, for appearing at work in a state of alcoholic, drug or toxic intoxication, as well as for consuming alcoholic beverages, narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances, their analogues, toxic substances during working hours or at the workplace, employees are subject to disciplinary action up to dismissal.
The employer must apply one of the four possible disciplinary measures: reprimand, admonishment, complete or partial deprivation of additional incentive payments for a period of up to 12 months, and dismissal.
During the seminar, issues were considered for the formation of law-abiding behavior, a healthy lifestyle, and skills for ensuring the personal and property safety of employees.
The event also discussed topics such as the role of the industry trade union in solving problems related to labor protection, prevention and reduction of the level
