Over the past weekend, 60 road traffic accidents with property damage were registered on the roads of the Vitebsk region, 24 of which occurred in the regional center.
12 drunk drivers and 28 drivers without a license were detained.
More than 400 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility for violating traffic rules. Of these, 39 were intoxicated, and 186 were without reflective elements.
40 drivers were held accountable for the absence of winter tires.
The State Automobile Inspectorate of the Vitebsk region strongly recommends that drivers choose a safe speed and distance to the vehicle ahead, be extremely attentive behind the wheel, and consider weather and road conditions. Pedestrians must strictly comply with traffic rules and identify themselves with reflective elements during dark hours.
