Over the past weekend, 54 road traffic accidents with property damage were registered on the roads of the Vitebsk region, 27 of which occurred in the regional centre.
8 drunk drivers and 15 drivers without a licence were detained. More than 300 pedestrians were brought to administrative responsibility for traffic violations. Of these, 31 were intoxicated, and 145 were without reflective elements.
The State Automobile Inspectorate of the Vitebsk region strongly recommends that drivers choose a safe speed and distance to the vehicle ahead, be extremely attentive behind the wheel, and take into account weather and road conditions. Pedestrians must strictly comply with traffic rules and identify themselves with reflective elements in the dark.
