One person died and two were injured in a road accident in the Tolochin district, the head of the propaganda and agitation department of the traffic police department of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee's Internal Affairs Directorate, Olesya Seregina, told a BELTA correspondent. The accident occurred today around 12:00 on the 531st kilometre of the M1 highway. While driving towards the Russian Federation, the driver of a "Gazel" vehicle was distracted from driving and entered the oncoming lane, where he collided with a "Volkswagen Golf" car. As a result of the collision, two passengers of the "Gazel", a resident of Noginsk born in 1980 and a resident of Baku born in 1988, sustained injuries of varying severity and were hospitalised. The driver of the "Volkswagen Golf", a resident of Baranovichi born in 1963, died at the scene. The detailed circumstances of the road traffic accident are being clarified.
