Eleven boilers running on local types of fuel (LTF) with mechanised loading will be commissioned in the Vitebsk region by the 2012 heating season, Anatoly Sudak, Head of the Production and Technical Department of the Housing and Communal Services Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, informed a BELTA correspondent. Two boilers of 2.5 MW are planned to be installed at the Central Boiler House in Beshenkovichi, two boilers of 2 MW each at the Central Boiler House in Borovka, Lepel district, one boiler with a capacity of 2 MW at the boiler house in Liozno, and two boilers of 3 MW each at the boiler house of the Liozno Central District Hospital. The settlement of Babinichi in the Orsha district and the boiler house of OJSC "Prommashremont" (Polotsk) will each receive two boilers with a capacity of 3 MW. In addition, in Vitebsk, the boiler house at 36 Frunze Avenue is to be reconstructed into a mini-CHP plant for the new heating season. Br35 billion has been allocated from the regional and republican budgets for the implementation of these measures, including Br26 billion for the modernisation of boiler houses in the region's areas and Br9 billion for the reconstruction of the boiler house into a mini-CHP plant in Vitebsk. During the preparation of the region's heat sources for the current winter, eight boilers were converted from gas to local types of fuel. Specifically, two boilers running on LTF with mechanised loading were installed at the Central Boiler House in Senno, at the heat source of the Liozno Central District Hospital, and at the Central Boiler House in Dubrovno. One boiler each was installed in Tolochin and the settlement of Farinovo, Polotsk district. Additionally, boilers running on LTF with manual loading with a capacity of up to 1 MW have been installed at heat sources in Postavy, Dokshytsy, Vitebsk, Verkhnedvinsk, and Orsha districts. In total, during the current inter-season period, 451 heat sources with a total capacity of about 2,000 MW are operational in the Vitebsk region, of which 1,500 MW is the capacity of LTF-fired boiler houses. -0-
