A one-day event "Gift to the Museum" will be held at the Vitebsk Town Hall on May 17.

12 May, Vitebsk /Alena Tikhonova - BELTA/. The Vitebsk Regional Museum of Local Lore will hold a one-day event "Gift to the Museum" on May 17, the institution informed BELTA.

Museum staff invite residents of the region to make a personal contribution to the replenishment of museum collections and donate old photographs, documents, handwritten or printed books, badges, medals, coins, clothing items, accessories, tableware, children's toys, household items preserved from grandparents to the institution. "It is desirable that these items reflect the identity, convey the peculiarities of the Vitebsk region or are characteristic, typical for a specific period in the history of our region. Becoming museum exhibits, these items will receive a new status and a new life, will be presented at exhibitions and expositions," the museum explained.

Among the items donated to the museum, a competition will be announced in several nominations: "The First", "The Legend", "The Oldest", "Symbol of an Era", "Rarity", "Memorial Item". The results of the competition will be announced in the Town Hall on the day of the event. Each participant of the event will receive a donor diploma and a special prize. Additional awards await the winners in all nominations.-0-
